Bartlett School of Architecture
13 - 15
The project is designed to honor Athos Bulcao, a Brazilian artist who worked famously with tiles. The project draws inspiration from experiments with inks and the fractal patterns. These patterns are used to create a circulation through the building and exhibition space. The Institute is located in the Flamingo Park in Rio de Janeiro,
near the Modern Art Museum. The building is designed as continuous ramp to allow a seamless movement all around the building, from the outside to inside, connecting all the exhibition spaces. Visitor will enjoy the circulation smoothly, spiralling around the building and visit the exhibition at the same time.
